Warley Woods

iPhone emotreeThere is plenty of woodland, and open grassland, and the slopes mean the site is very popular for sledging if there is snow. There is a children’s play area near the Abbey Road entrance, and plenty of space for the kids to run around.  If you’re visiting the area with older children, pick up a leaflet from the Pavilion and learn about the main tree species and historically important parts of the woods while you explore the site. You might also want to introduce the kids to golf at the 9 hole golf course – there are practice nets and putting areas too.

For new parents, there are Buggy Fit outdoor postnatal fitness classes, and there are plenty of buggy friendly paved trails if you just fancy a bit of fresh air.

Great big open space in Birmingham. A great kids playground and lots of room to run around and ride bikes. Nice child friendly cafe too.
