The Top Toys for Christmas 2011 is an interesting mix of old and new, and, well, a bit of poo… First though, let’s tell you about the must-have toy of the year, Fijit Friends. With 150 phrases and funny fidgety bodies, these cute little robots are genuinely interactive, and can sing, dance, tell jokes, and respond to about 30 different voice commands. There are 4 colours to choose from, each with its own personality, likes and dislikes.

Having long used Amazon to buy children’s toys at a discount, we were surprised this year to find that many online retailers came in much lower – in one case £20 lower! – than the exact same product on Amazon.
