Royal Hospital and Ranelagh Gardens

Royal Hospital Road
London SW3 4SR

The Ranelagh Gardens are the most undiscovered, under-utilised picnic grounds in Central London. There are trees, hills, gorgeous walkways and manicured beds. You can have a lovely stroll with the buggy, or bring your toddlers and let them run up and down the hills while adults drink wine and visit. Be prepared to get up and bring them back in when they get too far out of sight, but they are not likely to get in too much trouble as they are completely enclosed and away from any roads. Accessible toilets are available inside the hospital. Details provided by Laura at London-Baby.com.

Opening Hours: All year. Daily (except 25th December and Chelsea Flower Show). Monday to Saturday 10am to sunset., Sunday 2pm to sunset.

Amazing, free gardens to play in on the grounds of the Royal Hospital. There are no toilets or food, but they are wonderful picnic grounds.
