Wisley is one of my favourite places to go with the kids. It’s basically a very big garden with three different cafes and is so big that every visit can be really different, which is great. It’s probably best in the summer when the kids can just run and run outside and tire themselves out, but they also do some good seasonal things like apple day in autumn and stuff around Christmas. There’s also a relatively new glass house (or ‘jungle’ as it’s known to the children) which has an impressive waterfall and a very educational ‘roots’ area which has some interactive displays – always very popular. The cafes are good and have plenty high chairs, the main cafe has free water, a microwave to heat baby food and the new cafe (near the glasshouse) has an area dedicated to breast feeding which is screened off by big house plants. All in all it’s a great day out and at less than 30 minutes out of London down the A3, it can be a fantastic escape from urban stresses.

Lovely for a beautiful day and great indoor play too

Wisley is great for a wander round at any time of year. Very buggy friendly paths make it enjoyable, The cafe and restaurant has a lovely soft play area which allows parents to sit and enjoy a well deserved cup of tea and slice of cake whilst watching children enjoy themselves. Nice areas for picnics and for toddler exploration, duck ponds for bread throwing.. lots to do.
