Varied views of scenes at London Canal Museum
12/13 New Wharf Road
London N1 9RT

Children love boats and the museum is a great place to bring them that will be both interesting and educational. They will love exploring the narrowboat cabin, and they will certainly love Henrietta the horse! Young visitors will enjoy the Activity Zone on the ground floor. There they can build a bridge, using the materials provided, and there is a whiteboard with magnetic letters and canal related images to be used to create artistic effects. There are childrens books, and things to colour in. Cut-out model boats to make are available free from reception. Admission is £3 per adult and £1.50 per child.

Opening Hours: Tues – Sun, and Bank Holiday Mondays, from 10 a.m. til 4:30 p.m.

About the Author:

Janis I look after the day-to-day running of ReallyKidFriendly.com, as well as some geeky stuff behind the scenes. Thanks to my two boisterous rascals (aged 4 and 5), I have become an expert in soft play areas, parks, energetic music classes, and where to get a stiff drink once the kids have gone to bed. Really – ask me anything!
