It's not just a boy thing

The Imperial War Museum is the perfect hang-out for any boys who are obsessed with Horrible Histories and all things military. But it also a great place for all kids (yes, even girls!) to learn more about the First World War and World War 2, and what it was really like for children - their parents and grandparents! - living through those times. There is also an incredibly moving Holocaust Exhibition, but some exhibits are very distressing so this is really for older children (under 11s not permitted, really recommended for over 14s). The Imperial War Museum makes a brilliant morning or afternoon out, and is invaluable for helping bring history to life. Liz (LivingwithKids) www.kidstart.co.uk/livingwithkids
