What will my registration details be used for?

There is no need to register, but if you do, your registration details will be used to help us tailor our website so that our users have the best experience possible. You can read all the details in our Privacy Policy, but in essence we will never pass your registration details on to anyone else.

Who can look at the reviews?

Anyone can use our website to look up venues, activities or products and read reviews. You do not need to log in to read reviews or search the directory. If you find anything on the site which you find inappropriate or offensive, please let us know and we will deal with it immediately.

Who writes the reviews?

The reviews and other content on the site are written by a broad mix of individuals, including parent bloggers, local experts, and individuals from other parent-focused sites. More details about the individual authors can be found at the bottom of each article or blog post. Additional reviews, ratings and comments are submitted by the general public – these are owned by the submitter(s) and the opinions of the general public may differ from the opinions of the author(s). The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely those of the specified authors. If we claim or appear to be experts on a certain topic or product or service area, we will only endorse products or services that we believe, based on our expertise, are worthy of such endorsement.

We are often invited to write posts to promote specific campaigns or products, and we only write about those which we would happily recommend to other parents. Any opinions expressed in the sponsored posts are those of the author and are not influenced by any compensation he or she may receive. More details are available in our Disclosure Policy.

Anyone can write a review, but you need to provide your name and a valid email address each time.

How do I review a business?

It’s easy. Browse or use the search box to find the business, service or product you’d like to review. You can add your review as a comment at the bottom of the page. If you have written a more detailed review on your own blog, please feel free to write a short synopsis in the comments box with a full link (not a bit.ly) to your own review.

What if the place, activity, product or business I want to review is not on the website?

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Email janis [at] reallykidfriendly [dot] com with your review, an image (including a note of who the image belongs to), and a few lines about yourself. If you have any bias – for example, if it’s a review of a friend’s product, or if you are being paid to write about it – then we will need to know full details up front so we can add an appropriate disclosure to the article.

If we feel it’s suitable for inclusion on the site, we will publish it on the site as soon as possible. During busy periods this might take a couple of weeks.
