About the Author:

Janis I look after the day-to-day running of ReallyKidFriendly.com, as well as some geeky stuff behind the scenes. Thanks to my two boisterous rascals (aged 4 and 5), I have become an expert in soft play areas, parks, energetic music classes, and where to get a stiff drink once the kids have gone to bed. Really – ask me anything!

Good family lunch venue for a stroll along the Thames.
Located directly beneath the Royal Festival Hall, this place makes a good stopping point if you are visiting any of the various activities on the southbank, heading for the London Eye or maybe just wandering along the riverside. Easy ramped access and an optional buggy park make it great for those with larger stollers. It’s bigger than it looks from the outside – we arrived midday on a sunny summer Saturday and the terrace was packed but we were easily seated inside with a couple of high chairs, colouring books and ballons all arriving swiftly to calm the younger members of the team. Food is good for a family lunch and the children’s salmon sticks were a nice twist on the staple fish finger favourite.
