About the Author:

Janis I look after the day-to-day running of ReallyKidFriendly.com, as well as some geeky stuff behind the scenes. Thanks to my two boisterous rascals (aged 4 and 5), I have become an expert in soft play areas, parks, energetic music classes, and where to get a stiff drink once the kids have gone to bed. Really – ask me anything!

Having not been into this establishment for a while I was really disappointed. It’s not that it’s bad to take kids in there as there is usually plenty of space and there is room buggies. I was just disappointed with the general service and food. I ordered a strawberry tart to share with my 21 month old son and it was very old tasting, soggy and pretty inedible. I had to was my son’s hands so took him into the toilets. They were really dirty (not his hands, the toilets!), there was no soap or anything to dry your hands on and the floor was filthy. When I mentioned this to the lady behind the counter she wasn’t bothered, neither was she bothered when I told her about the food. Shame really as I am a local East Finchley mum I’d prefer to support my local independent establishments but Costa seemed so much more appealing after this visit.
